چکیده

Rhizobium microbial bacteria functioning that living a symbiosis relationship soil and leguminous plant root fixation of nitrogen to be utilized by superior performance during grain development stage. They can enter into with plant, infecting their nodules. The legume crops are the bigger partner, often referred as macro-symbiotic. Usually certain strains form nodule on limited plants. Such collection strain is called cross inoculation group. Legume show decrease in nitrogenase activities observed soil, higher doses reduce one hand increase cost production other. encourage both nutrient such Mo Fe increasing N-fixation capacity effective agronomic practice directly nodulation, fixation, vegetative germination, maturity yield black gram. It use phosphate solubilising (PSB) increases phosphorus uptake efficiency from soil. Lesser PSB has been showing through Co-inoculation another profitable mycorrhiza. main used rhizobia, improvement fertility increased gram balance fertilizer.

Agronomic Traits and Total Seed Protein in Black Gram Vigna Mungo (l.) Hepper

This study evaluated agronomic traits of 111 genotypes of black gram Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper, mainly from Pakistan, to determine the extent of genetic diversity. Seed proteins were analyzed by SDS-PAGE. High genetic variance was observed for days to flowering, days to maturity, number of branches/plant, number of pods/plant, biomass/plant, grain yield/plant and harvest index, whereas low geneti...

BLACK GRAM ( Vigna mungo ) - A hypolipidemic pulse

Cardiovascular problems have been haunting human populations for a long time with no specific cure. It is believed that a shift in the eating, and physical habits might have paved the way for the alarming increase in cardiovascular diseases. Increase in the lipid level has been pinpointed as an important risk factor. Hence epidemiological and clinical studies were undertaken throughout the worl...

Effect of seaweed liquid extract of Caulerpa scalpelliformis on growth and biochemical constituents of black gram (Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper)

Effect of Seaweed Liquid Extract (SLE) of Caulerpa scalpelliformis on growth and biochemical constituents of Vigna mungo was studied. The lower concentration of SLE of C. scalpelliformis (25%) enhanced the percentage of germination, shoot length, root length and biochemical constituents viz., chlorophyll, carotenoid, amino acid, reducing sugar and total sugar contents and α-amylase and β-amylas...

Mapping of Mungbean Yellow Mosaic India Virus (MYMIV) and powdery mildew resistant gene in black gram [Vigna mungo(L.) Hepper]

Black gram, one of the important species of Asian Vigna group of grain legumes, is widely grown in South Asia and is an important source of dietary protein. The two main biological constraints particularly Mungbean Yellow Mosaic India Virus(MYMIV) and powdery mildew pose a major threat to black gram production in India. Several reports on mapping mungbean yellow mosaic virus disease and powdery...

Occurrence of a Lysogenic Streptomyces sp. on the Nodule Surface of Black Gram (Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper).

A lysogenic Streptomyces sp., strain NS.A4, which was isolated from the nodule surface of black gram (Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper), was found to inhibit rhizobia of fast-and slow-growing strains of cowpeas and soybeans. It exhibited plaques when there was a change in cultural conditions. Repeated culturing of the organism in nutrient agar and broth confirmed the infection of Streptomyces sp. strain...
